근래 자주 듣는 가수 The Weeknd의 곡 Can't Feel My Face 이다.

음색이 마이클 잭슨을 닮아서일까, 늦게 알게 되었지만 그만큼 엄청 빠져들고 있다.

특히 이 곡과 3집의 I Feel It Coming이 제대로 MJ 분위기를 내고 있어서 하루에도 몇번씩 반복해 듣는 중...

유튜브 댓글에도 '위켄드는 마이클의 숨겨진 자식이다' 같은 유머 댓글이 많을 것을 보아

이렇게 느끼는 것은 나 뿐만이 아닌 것 같다.

 

위켄드는 최근 앨범에서 8~90년대의 유로 팝, 디스코 음악을 표방하고 있는데

개인적으로는 2집과 3집 시기의 음악이 더 내 취향인 것 같다. (브루노 마스도 3집보다 2집이 더 끌리는 것처럼)

이렇게 보면 나에게 가장 취향인 장르는 역시 R&B 일지도.
