우리나라에서 유명한 일렉트로닉, 하우스 밴드를 우리나라에서 유명한 일렉트로닉, 하우스 밴드를 꼽자면 보통 대부분 클래지콰이, 하우스 룰즈 등을 꼽을 것이다.
이들 음악을 들어보면 한 가지 공통점을 발견할 수 있는데, 바로 애시드 재즈, 또는 애시드 하우스의 영향이 짙게 배어있다는 점이다.
이 중에서 그들에게 가장 큰 영향을 끼친 밴드를 꼽자면 단연 자미로콰이가 아닐까.
(클래지콰이는 애초에 그룹 이름부터가...)
현재는 누 디스코, 테크노 등 다양한 장르의 음악을 하고 있는 자미로콰이지만,
지금도 사람들에게 자미로콰이의 최고 명반을 뽑으라 하면 대부분 애시드 재즈의 정석을 보여줬던 3집을 뽑지 않을까 싶다.
실제로도 이 시기의 자미로콰이의 음악들이 대한민국 실용음악계에 지대한 영향을 끼쳤다.
Cosmic Girl은 그들의 역량이 최고조에 달해있었던 3집에 수록되어 있는 곡으로, 타이틀 곡인 Virtual Insanity와 더불어 해당 앨범에서 가장 유명한 곡이다.
특히 곡 자체가 완성도가 높은 것도 있지만, 1집부터 3집까지 멤버로 활동했던 베이시스트 스튜어트 젠더의 연주를 들을 수 있다는 것으로도 가치가 있는 곡이다.
